Backing up your server is a crucial step to ensure that your data is safe in case of unexpected issues. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a backup on the Pterodactyl Panel.
Step 1: Log into Your Pterodactyl Panel

Open your web browser and navigate to the Pterodactyl Panel.

Enter your username and password to log in.
Step 2: Access Your Server

Once logged in, navigate to the Servers section.

Select the server for which you want to create a backup by clicking on its name or icon.
Step 3: Navigate to the Backup Section

In your server dashboard, locate the menu on the left-hand side.

Click on Backups to access the backup interface.
Step 4: Create a New Backup

Click the Create Backup button.

(Optional) Provide a descriptive name for your backup to help identify it later.
Step 5: Start the Backup Process

Click Start Backup to initiate the process.

Wait for the backup to complete. This may take some time depending on the size of your server files.

Once completed, the backup will appear in the list of available backups.
Step 6: Download or Manage Your Backup

To download the backup, click the Download button next to the backup entry.

If you no longer need a backup, you can delete it by clicking the Delete button.
