Unlike other hosting providers, we don’t use Out Of Memory (OOM) killer. This means if the server you purchased has 8gb of ram, and it maxes out this value, your server will continue to run, although performance may be slightly impacted due to having no free memory to use. On other providers, as soon as you hit 8gb ram in use, the OOM killer would shutdown your server which would disconnect all of your users.
We feel that we would rather keep your service online, instead of just shutting it down when you reach your memory limit. If you see your service reaching its maximum memory limit, it is likely time to upgrade to get the most performance out of your server and keep the experience high for your users.
